    I so wish Stieg would be alive and able to enjoy the success and defend his work.
    By the way, what do you think of Jussi Adler-Olsen?

    Hi Dace,
    Jussi is a great thriller writer and an extremely nice guy. We met him for the second time at the book fair in Copenhagen in November, and he was so charming to his fans that it's no wonder he's the biggest-selling author in Denmark. Tiina is translating his "Department Q' series, and the first one is due out soon in the UK, entitled Mercy. It will come out later in the States as The Keeper of Lost Causes. Don't miss the start of a fascinating new cop series!

    I'm a literary translator myself an had the pleasure to translate Larsson to Latvian. Adler-Olsen is my next assignment, so it's nice to hear you like him.

    Hi Dace,
    The first thing Jussi asked Tiina and myself was, "Do you have a sense of humor?" He definitely wants the humor in the books to come through, especially Assad's "broken" Danish -- which later turns out to have been faked. Keep in touch!

    P.S. Marla: None of the many awards that Stieg's books have won so far have been for the English translation. I presume they are all sitting on shelves in the Larssons' office in Umeå.

    There maybe a mistake.

    On the Vanger Family tree:

    The name appeared as Gregor

    But inside the book (The Dragon Tattoo), it's Greger.

    The front page of Hornet's Nest here is different from here http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/87/Steig_Larsson-The_girl_with_the_dragon_tattoo.jpeg . Why's that? (I bought the one in Wiki)
